~ match the city with the style ~

24 Mar

Well, ladies,  although the four fashion weeks are over, there is plenty of street style looks to pore over for spring wardrobe inspiration. While doing so, you will realise that each city possesses a distinct essence individual to its location… So, it would be fun to break down what makes each fashion week location unique—and, furthermore, how you can get that look! More, after the jump…!

It took twelve years and about $ 135 million for the Fondation Louis Vuitton in the Bois de Boulogne, which opens its gates on October 27, but for the billionaire Bernard Arnault, who is the titan of modern luxury, the cost does not match his dream offerin to Paris a cultural gift, which apart from its content, it also exalts city’s architecture in the twenty-first century.

Love to love.

A paradise for any magazine or book lover… Comptoir de l’Image is the one and only hidden treasure in Paris.

About the size of a postage stamp, every nook and cranny is filled to the brim; Paris Vogue, Numero, Dutch, vintage designer look books– it seems like every uber-cool publication can be found among the rare fashion and photography books here.  I can’t imagine any other place I would want to spend a rainy afternoon in Paris.

However, I wouldn’t bring a friend, it’s so small they may not be able to fit both of you!

he cavernous chamber of the Galerie Courbe in the Grand Palais was temporarily transformed into a magical backdrop for Chanel‘s new Metiers d’art collection, inspired by India’s Maharajas and lavish palaces. Tables were set with tiers of fruits, sweets, and flowers. Models, with khol-rimmed eyes, donned jeweled tikkas down the middle of dreadlocked hair. And this is just a sliver of the many extravagant details. Check out the beautiful footage below and see how pieces from the collection came together at embroidery house Lesage and button and jewelry atelier Desrues.
