Remember when we went camping and we took all those models? Good times.

Well American label Free People must have heard about it somehow, because their September 2011 lookbook ‘Born Free’ is a country adventure of models hanging out in front of wood cabins, and looking mysterious in fields of wild flowers.

It’s no surprise really, Free People is a brand that has always celebrated a laid back, nature inspired aesthetic since its birth way back in the ’70s (it was originally started by the guy who came up with Urban Outfitters, so there you go).

Free People traditionally offers a lot of on trend pieces, but this collection also offers something a little let of center. High waisted, floor length prairie skirts in tartans, denim and lace are pretty much the winners of the September lookbook, kind of reminding us of Dr. Quinn the Medicine Woman, but in a really cool way. If Dr. Quinn the Medicine Woman wore them with skin tight corsets that is (which she should have).
